Privacy notice

Who we are

AisleBench publishes independent supermarket price history. AisleBench is operated by AisleBench Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 12770994, registered office 20 Grosvenor Avenue, Hayes, England, UB4 8NL. We are the controller of the personal data described here. You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@aislebench.com.

When you visit the website

  • Our web host, Bluehost, keeps a standard server log of each request: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the page you came from and your browser type. We use these logs to keep the site running and secure and to count visits, mostly to tell people from automated traffic. The host keeps them for about a month; we keep our own copy for up to 12 months.
  • We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies or store anything on your device, and it does not track you across other websites. Cloudflare processes your IP address to provide it but, by its account, does not use it to identify you.
  • The site does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and has no advertising.

We rely on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding how it is used.

If you email us

Your name, email address and whatever you include in your message, used to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. For data enquiries this may include your organisation and what data you need. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering the enquiries people send us.

Who else handles your data

  • Bluehost: website hosting and our email, including messages you send to hello@aislebench.com.
  • Cloudflare: website analytics.

Each acts on our instructions. Both are US companies, and your data may be processed in the United States. We do not sell personal data.

How long we keep it

  • Server logs: up to 12 months.
  • Emails you send us: as long as needed to deal with your enquiry, then up to two years unless a business relationship follows.

Your rights

You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. You can object to our use of it. Email hello@aislebench.com. We will reply within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint, 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
